I need to download Emily
You can download a fresh copy of the Emily Installer below.
My mouse movement is effected when using Emily
There could be a few reasons,
- Is it a programmable Mouse? If so, make sure the software for your mouse is installed and up to date.
- Is it a Razor mouse? Razor software can cause issues due to the synapse software. See video. https://youtu.be/
eVqkpFLvnPQ?si= SZkd0mh45prLwbJd - Mouse polling rate is too high, turn down to 250 or 500. Then adjust your turn/spin rate via DPI setting.
- Check Windows Mouse Settings: Open up the control panel and locate Mouse, Pointer Options tab, and turn off Enhanced pointer precision. (aka mouse acceleration)
For the game Star Citizen:
Set the Graphics Tab in Star Citizen Field of view between 90 and 94, and then check Controls tab and set mouse sensitivity to default (34).

Emily will not start after install
Cause:
Microsoft Defender falsely identifying Emily Interface.exe as Malware.
Emily – The Ultimate Voice Assistant™ is virus free and is also secured by a Sectigo Code Signature Certificate
- Restore the Emily Interface.exe file from Quarentine.
- Add an exclusion to the Emily AppData Folder. AppData/Local/EmilyAdvancedApp
- Disable all Settings in Virus & threat protection.
- Reinstall Emily
- Enable all Settings in Virus & threat protection.
Emily does not execute commands.
Verify that Emily is recognizing the Command:
- Launch Emily and load a Plugin.
- Make sure the Active Command Set actually has the Command.
- Watching the Emily interface, say the Command and verify the Input Level is moving and the Command appears in the Last Executed Command area.
- If the Input Level does not move, check your audio settings.
- If the Command does not appear, adjust the Tuning in Emily Settings. Note, some users may need to lower their input level in Emily Settings.
- If the Command appears in the Last Executed Command area, then read the Commands do not work in a game FAQ.
Commands do not work in a Game.
Emily recognizes the Command but does not perform the actions in the Game.
- Launch Emily and Load a Plugin.
- Make sure the Active Command Set actually has the Command.
- Launch NotePad and click in the NotePad window.
- Say the Command (if the Command does not have any key presses, then say a different command that has key presses).
If key presses appear in the NotePad, then the likely issue is with the Game preventing inputs from external software (i.e. Anti-cheat software is employed). We recommend that you contact the Game developer about this issue.
I need to install an English language.
Some Windows installations do not include an English language, which is required for Emily to work properly.
Follow these steps to install the English language and setup your speech profile in windows.
- Open Windows Settings, and select Time & Language.
- Click the “Add a Language” button and search for and select English United States.
- Install the language pack, ensuring that Speech is selected.
- Wait until the language is installed.
- Restart Emily.
Also note that Emily is designed for English QWERTY keyboard keys. You can switch between keyboards by selecting the icon in the Taskbar.
License Key Reset
Please submit a Support Ticket with the email address you used for the Trial or Full Version License Key. We will respond within 24 hours. Or, reach out to us on the Emily Discord Channel.
I lost or accidently removed an Emily Controls file for a Game Plugin.
This issue is resolved quite easily:
- Open the Plugin Manager
- Select the Plugin and then select the Key File Icon
If the Plugin is missing, select the Get More plugins button to install the Plugin and then repeat Step 2.
